A Lotta Greens Smoothie
Aren't they all green? Pretty much- but this one is a lotta greens! I snuck in a surprise green veggie for fun! Frozen zucchini is one of my favorite smoothie ingredients as it adds the benefits of a vegetable & improves the texture in a similar way to a banana. The flax seed & hemp hearts are optional if you don't have them on hand but are a fun way to add healthy fat & protein for a more nutritionally balanced smoothie.
What you'll need:
1 handful greens - I used spinach
1/3 c whole milk
1/3 c chopped zucchini, use frozen or fresh but frozen preferred
1/4 avocado
1 Tbsp ground flax seed
2 Tbsp hemp hearts
1 c cold water
1 1/2 c frozen nectarine
1 handful of ice
How to:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender & blend
2. Add more ice or liquid to make the texture thicker or thinner, respectively
3. Top with peanut butter (I used Crazy Richard's as pictured) & granola for fun
